A modern farmhouse in Beverly Shores built in 2023 is going on the market next week. My pickleball pal Bonnie Meyer, a longtime area real estate agent, alerted me that the house, which will be listed for $1.5 million, can be toured after May 1.

This 2,235 square foot, light-filled, open-concept home has three bedrooms, a loft, and two full baths. It’s set on on .64 acres. The kitchen has European white oak cabinetry, plus Bertazzoni and Bosch appliances, smart lighting, and a sound system. There’s a hot tub in the private back yard.

It appears the property could use some landscaping along the front and driveway.

Some of you may know that the Diva lives in Beverly Shores and can attest that it’s a great community just an hour from Chicago by car and a little more via South Shore train. We’re smack in the middle of the Indiana Dunes National Park on Lake Michigan. Indiana Dunes State Park borders our town to the west.

Beverly Shores has winding, hilly streets and is filled with old-growth oaks. Since homes are on a septic system, local regulations keep lot sizes large, which means the town is not dense with houses. It’s a social community–lots of potlucks and parties–but people like to say it’s as social as you want it to be. No one cares if neighbors keep to themselves.
